Can't give you first hand info on the current

action, but a bloke I know said the muddies should be coming on soon.
Tangles seems to be doing well on the big tailor up that way at the moment.

This is one of the more reliable tailor spots I know at Kalbarri.

You will find it right in front of the Siphon Road carpark to the south of town.

went to have a look but

Sat, 2009-11-21 19:20

went to have a look but pretty sure its now a marine park :(

for the whole trip we only brought home a skippy and a tailor to eat both caught from my missus (skippy caught on the reef in the river by the first jetty) and the tailor caught near reb bluff/wittacarra)

caught a good sized pike friday night but released at red bluff. also hooked onto something decent that snapped my 20lb line with ease.

on the up tho did a half day trip to the abrolos islands with kalbarri flight company and it was awsome! best snorkle/dive ive ever done! so much colour and fish with a few cray and a little stingray (pitty i couldnt fish there!!!)

cheers for all ur help. pitty we didnt catch anything and plagued with 'bad events'

Yes, you can drive a 2wd there easily

This spot is good for an evening fish. It can be a great spot for mulloway and tailor.

It is east of Chinamans.

I think that is Tudor

That is a good place to stay. I am not sure if it is the same, but in the main kitchen area there are some freezers. They didn't have any locks on them when I was last there and I used them to put my bait in.

I think I can see Tang in

Thu, 2009-11-12 18:01

I think I can see Tang in that second pic haha. The middle caravan park is the Murchison caravan park by memory. Tudor is up behind Palm Resort. There all good parks anyway. Colin can you put up one of those maps of where I can get snapper in perth please lol.

hey every one just a quick

Mon, 2009-11-16 18:52

hey every one just a quick update.

got here saturday arvo. staying at the Murchison caravan park as tapout said

went fishing for a few hours yesterday at chinamans (during the day) lost my metal slice 4th cast. kept trying with a cone popper with no luck as we were packing the car i DID IT... hook straight into my hand...  or to see how the local docs are like....

the were hopeing the  could just pullit out and save the hook...not the case...

just after sunset we hit the river (towards the mouth on a jetty near a bit of reef)

lots of decent hits with prawn but lost all until the gf pulled out a 32cm skippy.. lucky her

hired a dinghy today without any luck on the river just 5-10cm bream a 10cm tailor and a small mullet ( bait for tonight)

off to chinamans tonight to see how it goes but a few mulloway and tailor caught from red bluff last couple days and a 30KG mulloway caught from teh main jetty 6weeks ago(YES 30KG MULLOWAY)!!

Hopefully here from tangles soon and will send doug a PM.

Make sure you hit that spot called the siphon

Mon, 2009-11-16 20:17

on the first map. That place is alive with tailor normally.
