CLOSURE OF DEWARS TRACK TO 4WD’S
Members may not be aware that the City of Wanneroo has made a sudden decision to close Dewar’s track.
For many years the track has been open to 4WD’s and runs past great fishing and camping beached.
The City of Wanneroo recently made a sudden decision to temporarily close the track and will decide tomorrow (1 April, 2014) whether to make the closure permanent.
With no reasonable rationale for this action, it appears to be another case of “locking it up and locking it away” from legitimate 4WD enthusiasts.
Should you wish to support the 4WD’ers, join Rick Mazza MLC, Shooters and Fishers Party who will be at the City of Wanneroo, 23 Dundebar Road, Wanneroo to back a delegation against the closure at 6pm tomorrow, 1 April 2014.

On the politics side, I
On the politics side, I reckon the shooters and fishers party should change their name to something like 'outdoors and recreation party'. Many uninformed people out there like my wife has bad connotations of the name of the party. She reckons its all about killing everything. But I try to explain to her that it protects outdoor activitities like fishing, 4wd and hunting which all of us here love doing.

As you can see ONLY Rick from the shooters AND FISHERS party will be there, I hear a lot of fishers saying that the party only has the fishers in the name to get votes but Rick is showing everyone from the front what we are all about.
Even if you don't like the name at least look at what the boys are doing, they are stomping thru parliament and letting it be known that the recreational users of WA are sick of being stepped on.
I am proud to be a WA shooters and fishers party founding member, most of you will know that I am a die hard fisher and conservationist but I shoot as well and take meat for the table either from the water or out of the bush.
I will push for our rights where ever I see them being squashed.

Well done Rick.
I would like to add if any of you boys wish to get something off your chest to Rick then send him a PM on here and I'm sure he will get back to you, he is a very down to earth bloke willing to take the time to do justice for both shooters and fishers of WA , also as you can see by this post he is all for the complete outdoors part of our community, we can not change the name as we are a small cog in the larger machine that is the shooters and fishers australia, but Rick is our man in our parliament and will stand up for our people in our parliament.
I saw Rick grill the police commish and his henchmen over costings etc and he does not back down from a fight and doesn't take crap from them either, they tried to baffle him with bullshit and he dazzled them with brilliance,,,,,,,,,,, he also came out to my club which is probably 150+ km's from his house to field questions of our members and done the photo op etc with all of our members all for a snag in a roll and a cool can of soft drink.
