With the season finally hitting us with the first game tonight, what was your take on the GWS v Sydney game? I think my biggest suprise is not how well GWS held up (partly), but rather, Chad Cornes can still play football! Haha. I reckon GWS will be a force to reckon with in the next few years..... but this year might challenge Port to last place!

gws looked not bad
for a quater and a bit XD. early days fair bit of conditioning still needed with pretty much everyone getting cramp hahha. not saying a whole lot for sydney who at parts were getting run over when gws were being competitive. on another note them dockers better win at home as i've gone against my better judgement and tipped them

Not worth a mention IMO
All that ceremonial crap for what? A 10 goal flogging which a good team would make a 20 goal flogging? Sydney played terribly tonight and look what they end up with... 4 points and a percentage boost. This AFL comp is all about business and money now and not about the game itself. Having said that of course so is soccer, NRL and all the other franchise codes.
