The trailer looks like a dunbier, if it is have a look at the bottom of the bearers you will see the air hole from galvanizing plug it up better still take the boat off tip it upside down put some oild into them then plug them up. They rot from the inside out. they look good but if you tap they with aballpeen hammer you go through the metal. I know because it happened to me, it cut them of and had to weld new ones in,no holes.

The best thing is to drill

Thu, 2022-11-17 21:08

The best thing is to drill them bigger so they drain, once that trailer's been in salt water it's game over.

I built my new trailer with 12mm galv vents then rigged up a retic system to flush it after use. If you plug them up then they sweat from the inside, I've seen it many a time cutting open sealed tubes/pipes that have been out inthe weather. They piss water even though fully welded.

Nah passed on the one up here, have a deposit down on this one awaiting bearings and 100hr service to be done. Once done will pickup next Friday, have old man take it south for chrissy then bring it north. Will also upgrade the minn kota.

Seem like good boats, prob a bit exxy but its best barra punt I've seen on market for a while.
