? about rigs and the setup

i have finaly learnt how to do the dropper loop now i have  hooks that the line is to big for how do i join them to the loop

i have the hooks snelled with smaller line  whats the best way to join the 2 mono 1 hook is snelled with braid as this was  eyeless and it holds better than the mono

is it ok to cut the loop so it is a single straind of line so i can sell a hook or is it best to join with other line like the pre rigged.snelled hooks with line you can buy

Keep it simple ,sounds like your trying to work out how to build a rocket .main line to a three way crain swivel and a figure eight loop for your sinker .One hook is all I use and it has made very little differance to the catch .I won't get a double header but thats fine .The basic rig will catch as many as one with bells and wistles.unless your name is Jesse then any bit off crap will do.

Attaching to dropper loop

Tie a figure 8 in the end of the hook line and attach to the dropper loop, good for singles or snell. Havent had one let go yet. Only thing is the dropper loop cant be too big or it will cause tangles.

If you don't cut the loop...

...and just poke it through the eye of the hook and "catspaw" it, make sure the eye doesn't have a sharp edge where they cut the metal to make the hook. When I used to use bait I lost a few fish from this sharp edge cutting into the line.

Or you can forget about bait/rigs and use jigs/sp's/octas instead!
