Our side of the story

After three weeks in the Garden of Eden, God came to visit Eve.

'So, how is everything going?' enquired God.

'It is all so beautiful, God,' she replied. 'The sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking, the smells, the sights, everything is wonderful, but I have just one
problem. It is these breasts you have given me. The middle one pushes the other two out and I am constantly knocking them with my arms, catching them on branches and snagging them on bushes. They are a real pain,' reported Eve.

And Eve went on to tell God that since many other parts of her body came in pairs, such as her limbs, eyes, ears, etc.......she felt that having only two breasts might leave her body more 'symmetrically balanced,' as she put it.

'That is a fair point,' replied God, ' But it was my first shot at this, you know. I gave the animals six breasts, so I figured that you needed only half of those, but I see that you are right. I will fix it up right away.' And God reached down, removed the middle breast and tossed it into the bushes.

Three weeks passed and God once again visited Eve in the Garden of Eden.

'Well, Eve, how is my favourite creation?'

'Just fantastic,' she replied, ' But for one oversight on your part. You see, all the animals are paired off. The ewe has a ram and the cow has her bull. All the animals have a mate except me. I feel so alone.'

God thought for a moment and said, 'You know, Eve, you are right. How could I have overlooked this? You do need a mate and I will immediately create a man from a part of you. Now let's see............where did I put that useless tit?

Now doesn't T H A T make more sense than that crap about the rib?

Looks good

I miss out only by a year

Heads up all you youngsters.
Borrowed from another site, sure Terry won't mind

All the details and application form from http://www.recfishwest.org.au/MediaStateYoungFutureLeaders.htm

Recfishwest is trying to find some future young leaders (FYL) to help steer rec fishing in the future.
Anybody (under 35) can nominate, and the 15 selected will be taken to the Abrolhos Islands to spend time on a fisheries research vessel dealing with science and compliance, be mentored by experts, and even do a bit of fishing. The aim of the trip is to give the FYL an appreciation of ALL sides of the management debate, and hopefully an insight into what it takes for us all to move forward.
Applications are invited from people anywhere in WA, and your costs will be met.
It's hoped that these FYL will add to the RFAC (regional fishing advisory committees) throughout the state, adding to the effectiveness and diversity of these groups.

contact Recfishwest to nominate.

Mobile Phone Coverage

Gents,

Any recommendations on what phone I should get (3G, next G, GSM) for best overall coverage, both for around Dampier/Karratha and also for the long drive up to Karratha?
I plan on getting a car kit put in to increase range and reception.

Suggestions greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Dan.

Theft from boats.

I have not used my boat for a few months due to weather, work and commitments and unfortunately it is parked outside on the verge.  I was readying the boat for a fish and have discovered that my fire extinguisher, boat hook , gaff, eprib, and life jackets have been stolen.

Yeah yeah, I know, I should not leave these things in my boat, but ...........  sigh!  Wish the pr*cks would use their own money to buy stuff instead of stealing form someone else.

Aaaah, now I understand

A MAN'S ANSWERS TO EVERY QUESTION A WOMAN EVER ASKS

1. WHY ARE MEN SUCH JERKS?

It's a testosterone thing. Much similar to your PMS thing, we men suffer

from testosterone poisoning. Why do you think the average life span of a

male is typically 10 years shorter (and it's not just from all the

bitching and nagging we have to endure)? Hormone modifies behavior.

We're just misunderstood.

2. WHY DO MEN ALWAYS HAVE TO OGLE AT OTHER WOMEN?

Again, this is a testosterone thing. Do you honestly think that all the

testosterone just fell out of our bodies the moment we met you? Besides,

women do it as well. Women are just much better at not getting caught.

I'm fairly certain it's some sort of photographic memory deal. Women

take one quick look and memorize it for later reference. Since men lack

this ability, we try to burn it into our memory by staring as much as we

can.

3. WHY DO MEN ALWAYS TOUCH THEMSELVES, ESPECIALLY IN PUBLIC?

We occasionally need to adjust "junior" and make him happy. It's much

like adjusting your bra. Being in public is just an added bonus.

4. WHY DO MEN ALWAYS SAY SUCH STUPID THINGS?

We like to. It's actually a whole lot of fun to see our partner

frustrated by a few simple (and well chosen) words.

5. WHY ARE MEN SO UNCOMMUNICATIVE?

You'd learn to keep your big mouth shut too if every time you open it

you get into trouble with your partner.

6. WHY DO MEN HAVE TO ACT LIKE SUCH RETARDS?

Well, we don't actually have to; we do it because we enjoy it. It's the

old fashioned pride in a job well done that's missing in so much of the

world nowadays.

7. WHY CAN'T MEN JUST SHARE THEIR FEELINGS?

Do we look like women to you? Why is it so hard to understand that men

and women are different? How are we supposed to share how we feel when

we have no idea how we feel? Unless we're experiencing some extreme

emotion like rage, hatred, disgust, or a brick on our foot, we have no

idea how we feel. Personally, I get a headache whenever I try to figure

out how I feel.

8. WHY CAN'T MEN CUDDLE MORE (I.E. LIE DOWN AND HUG)?

Please... How many hours do you think there is in a day? We oblige you

as much as we can, but who the hell (besides women) can stand lying

around for hours on end? We men... Men hunters... Need go roam... Starve

in cave... Must go find wildebeest...Now sitting on our asses for hours

on end on the other hand is a whole other story.

9. HOW CAN MEN SIT ON THEIR ASSES ALL DAY WITHOUT MOVING?

Men have very powerful sets of sitting muscles developed by evolution

that enable us to sit for extended periods of time without getting

tired. In prehistoric times, it was often necessary to sit in one spot

for extended periods of time while hunting for prey. The more successful

hunters were able to sit very still for very extended periods of time

thereby passing on this ability to their sons. The fidgety types were

all gobbled up by saber toothed tigers etc. The end result is that

almost all modern men are born with this innate ability.

10. WHY CAN'T MEN JUST SAY "I LOVE YOU?"

Men are taught from a tender young age to be self-sufficient. To say

that we love you is equivalent to saying that we need you. Most men

consider that a character fault. It's not easy to admit to one's own

character faults.

11. WHY DO MEN SAY "I LOVE YOU" WHEN THEY HARDLY KNOW ME?

Ho, Ho, Ho... Aren't you special? Well, some men think it's a sure fire

way to get into your pants. Surprisingly, it actually still works quite

well.

12. WHY DOESN'T MY PARTNER EVER ANSWER ME?

We just simply don't have the energy to answer every single one of your

questions. If we think we do not have the answer, or that you will not

like the answer, we simply remain quiet and save the energy for other

things.

13. WHY WON'T MEN EVER PICK UP AFTER THEMSELVES?

Why should we? It doesn't really bother us that much. Besides, we know

darn well you'll pick it up.

14. WHAT'S WITH ALL THE BELCHING AND FARTING?

This usually only occurs after months of courting. It's our way to let

you know that we're comfortable with you. Believe it or not, its

actually a sign of affection. Besides, holding it for extended periods

of time gives us stomach cramps.

15. WHY DO MEN HATE SHOPPING?

It's an evolutionary thing. Men hunt. Women gather. We just want to go

out, kill it, and bring it back. Who wants to spend hours and hours to

look at things we have no intention of killing? Err... buying?

1kw transducers

Well after having my standard 600wt transducer ripped off the back of the boat on sunday out from ocean reef i went into freo to the jrc dealer to go get a new transducer for my  FF50.
what i was wondering wass how many other people have upgraded to a 1kw transducer and have found it to be well worth the money or regret it and thought they should have just gone the standard one again considering the 1kw one cost me $1100?

Advice please - driving from Perth to Karratha

Well, I'm finally headed up to Jay and PilbaraBrad's way at the end of this month.
I'm picking up my new Suzuki Vitara in Perth and will be driving to Karratha.
I haven't driven in over 12 months as I've been living in the UK (London) for the last couple of years.

Any advice that you can give to make the drive safer would be good.
I'm planning on stopping for the night in Carnarvon on the way up.

Mum is going to fly over from Brisbane and share the driving duties.

So what do I need to look out for? Any particular bad stretches?  Be off the road before dusk?

Cheers,
Dan.

Hot snapper spots

G'day fellow fishos

I am heading out for a fish tomorrow (sunday) and am
hoping to pick up a decent fish for a change!
Heading out from point peron and was wondering if anyone had any
ideas as to where a good spot to fish for snapper would be?
I'm not after cordinates or gps spots, just a rough idea.
Do you have to go out far to deeper water or can you pick them up out back of garden island?
Any info would be appreciated.

Charmaine Dragun dies at 29

http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,22693291-2,00.html

"

A 29-year-old television newsreader has been found dead at one of Sydney's most well-known tourist spots.

Channel 10 journalist and news anchor Charmaine Dragun was found dead at The Gap, in Sydney's east, shortly before 4pm yesterday. "

Sad news, rumors going around are that she committed suicide. :( Not good at all.

User Profiles

Hey All.

Was looking at some of the profiles of those who are online and noticed that there are many members who havent filled out any details in their profile at all.

While I understand not everyone wants to advertise all the gear you may have or exactly where you are located, some info in your profile would be good for others to see for various reasons.

It is a helpfull thing for others to access when your asking a question as they can check to see if you are located SOR, NOR, Country, boat or shore based and alter their answer accordingly. Its also a good way for other forum members to get to know more about you rather than just as a name on a website.

If everyone could take the time to enter a few details into their profile or to review it and update as you see fit it would be greatly appreciated by all.

Thanks.

Towing vehicles?

After some feedback as to who uses just a rear wheel drive vehicle to tow there rigs, type of vehicle and size rig/load being towed.

I am in thought of getting a new vehicle and wondering whether I really need to bother with a 4x4 or all wheel drive car and possibly could just go a V8 ute.

My boat is on a braked single axle trailer rated to 1250kg, however not likely to be much over the tonne mark when loaded.

All feed back greatrly apreciated!

sounders???

There has been a lot of talk about sounders of late.  I have in the past typically fished while looking for the gound i think the fish will be, without the use of a super flash sounder.  Keeping in mind i am often only in 1.5 to 2.5 m of water up a creek system.  The unit i have on this rig is a basic NAVMAN Fish 4100.  With the new rig comming in feb i think it is time to definately learn a little more and seek advice from you guys on which might be best for my aplication.  I was origionally going to spend around 700 but now i am thinking up to 12 or 1300 would be ok.
Can anyone reccomend something for barra fishing creek sysems to 2.5 3m at the most.  I might do a bit of bottom bashing in winter to 40m but that is about it

cheers
Brad
