The supraoccipital bone (hump head), frontal bone (fore head) and the large nose of a Pink Snapper is a genetic strain of the species with different area's, nutrients, associated diseases to be an influence also!

Dunno if it's true but iv'e always thought it was from when they hit the reef when they are feeding.
They cut themselve's then when it heals it grow's bigger and bigger.

Strain!

Yeh that's what many ppl think but genetic, you'll see more of these fish up north where the pink snapper are of a different strain/genetic history.....not that common down here!

The circus is coming to town!

Wed, 2007-07-25 20:02

Looks like a clown fish should look like!!

Circ de soleil contender??

But seriously an amazing splice of the genetecism..proving that every species on this earth is suseptible to change!

Cheers,
