Nice fish Kyle
Onya Kyle, always good to get a first! I'd be leaning towards the 2.5-3kg mark for sure, a great fish and the most tasty size in my opinion. :)

Good Stuff
Sounds like the fishing bug may have bitten. Plenty of big fish out there that will pull that one backwards, the hard part is finding them, sometimes very frustrating, sometimes very rewarding, good luck. :))

Thats no old wives tale Kyle
If you get caught with a banana on a charter out from queensland you get keel hauled.
I think it dates back to the old oceanic traders where if the goods were shipped and bananas were on board everything went off (over rippened) if you do chemistry its something to do with the esters that bananas contain I think. Anyway the view back in them days was that bananas were bad luck and somehow it spread to fishing boats too besides the trading vessels, so I'm like your uncle Ray, no-one gets on board with a banana. (superstition yes, but I aint going to rock the boat when we keep catching fish without em.) (Hehehe).
