all a load of hot air and crapy jurno writing

sharks often bite props and they been doing it for fifty years at least,

they sense the metalic nature of it and give them a nibble, nothing new, nothing to wet your jocks about...

as soon as you start the motor they skittle off...

great white 'attack'

Mon, 2012-03-26 21:47

 Hey guys,

This is one of my dad's mates who this happend to, and all the stories about it have been soo over exaggerated its not funny.  The shark didn't bite the boat at all, it swam up to the back of it, nudged it with it's nose, circled the boat twice and swam off.

I've heard stories that the shark bit off the propeller, amost bumped the bloke out of the boat, its all a load of shit.

Just thought i'd let you guys know before people start making a huge fuss about it.

anodes

Mon, 2012-03-26 22:26

they are attracted to the sacraficial anodes that that u have on the bottom of the leg of the props, we were talking about this yest in lano and makes sense. ill try find out more about it from a mate who tages them. It is a bit unusual for that close to the beach considering the water temp at the time was 26.5deg. But no huge suprise considering the monsters we would see west of barri when crayfishing out towards the bank and wetlining out there saw some big GWS! The boys will be shitting when they get a big swell and are towing dangies cos thats where they sit waiting for the sets! it was only a matter of time up there!
