Flickbaits, really? I use
Flickbaits, really? I use them and twitch them cos they roll and flip like a wounded fish, didnt think theyd.work good on fast retrieve, thought they might spin and twist my line.

make sure they are strait and try them, what type of jig head are you using? had great sucess throwing 2' sliders at tuna schools, little tails pulsating and the tuna loved them

Nitro saltwater. Yep riggin
Nitro saltwater. Yep riggin them straight would be the key, I just want something they cant resist if I cant hook one on the troll etc, I heard a few stories last season of people casting at schools with everything they had with no success even tho they were smashin bait on the surface

it also depends on the size
it also depends on the size of bait they are chasing, mac tuna are the fussiest i have come across, they get focused on what they are feeding on and wont hit anything unless it is around the same size, i have used small plastics (2') with squidgie finesse jigheads (reduced casting range tho)

Yeah, find the lure that
Yeah, find the lure that works I suppose. All new to me, nearly had the boat a year so everything seasonal is a first time still, cant wait for the next fine forcast on a weekend, wana try trollin some skirts and divers, but if there is schools bustin up, castin at them would be exciting also, just havent heard of people using placcies and I thought rippin something with a bit of tail action might getum fired up for it

Bucktail jigs

Barrel
Small barrel sinker painted white and rigged with wire (eyelets on each end, treble on one end) work surprisingly well.

Another option is the Zman 5"
Another option is the Zman 5" streakz. Was casting these to bust ups in the gulf up Exmouth and provided you were able to get close enough for a cast than it was getting smashed by Mack tuna and Long tail tuna. Space Guppy, Bubble Gum and Opening night would be the pick of the colours. The good thing about Zman plastics is they last generally a couple of fish before needing replacing.
