Ive been chasing the snapper in the sound for years.
Only luck ive had is out on the bank. Best thing to do
is find some good ground and anchor and burley then wait and wait and wait.

Yeah but the papers a week or two at least behind if not more. Tried there twice (8-12hrs each time) just recently for zilch. But gotta keep trying.Wink Last run I had was at the Kiosk N-Mole.

That's interesting Daniel

I thought they received their info from the tackle shops during the week. If they are a week or two behind, that is pretty slack. It would take an hour at the most to call a few tackle shops and put together a report. I have just finished a 164 page magazine in four days.

I'm just going by what I've

Fri, 2008-06-20 15:36

I'm just going by what I've seen from these locations, and I've been at both lots of hours. Not saying there won't be some still around though. Both spots have done pretty good in the last month (better mid last month though  by far)or so. I keep on changing between the two plus another Northern spot as well.

Keep up the good work Daniel

It is hard going on the cold nights. I popped down to North Mole last night and put in about 5 hours with little joy. The fingers were getting pretty cold by the time I called it quits.

There weren't too many "birds" down there last night. Only crazy seagulls who seemed to have been blinded by the lighthouse because they almost ran into me a few times.

Good one chaps

Fri, 2008-06-20 16:02

I probably had more chance catching a gull than a fish last night. The only fish I caught out near the lighthouse when I was there were a few little (and I mean little) skippy and a herring.

Yeah not wrong its been

Fri, 2008-06-20 16:07

Yeah not wrong its been friggin freezing down there lately........... The other night even with the heater going in my car I still couldn't keep warm. Had the car heater running flat out for 15minutes at a time then turn it off for a while, check baits, catch a coupla baitfish-livies then back in car. Kept door partly open so I could dash out if I got a run but its gone a bit quiet.

I wasn't game enough to sit in my car last night

Fri, 2008-06-20 21:34

As I was too worried I would miss a run. I should have though for all the action there was.
