Sharked Dhu

Thought this was worthy of a mention. First sharked dhu for me. North of Two Rocks inside the bank. Managed to get the jig back...minus the hooks. Just though the assist hook line had worn through until we saw something floating 50m away. Lucky for swim bladders. Can't quite envisage how it happened. Decent size shark I imagine.

Lucky you got the best portion back, when you get decent fish on and they are taken by sharks it really gives you the business as they usually take the meatiest section of the fish, at least on this occasion you have still got a feed

Actually that’s a good point. How does one measure a sharked fish to ensure legal size?

How are fillets measured.

How are fillets measured. Just from tip to tip? As I know dhu fillet comes right around their head so is quite a long fillet
