Scents for soft plastics - offshore

Does anyone use scents for offshore soft plastics used to catch Snapper n Dhu's? Some research shows some crew using the S-factor scent, not sure if its worth it or not.

Cheers.

Cant say wether it works or not but it gives a little more hope and confidence on a slow day. Give the Pro cure range a go. Its a bit pricey but nice and sticky. heaps of flavors to choose from and it stays on for quite a while.

A tackle shop employee I know

He seems to use it pretty regularly, and says the results are far better when in use. But to me it is somewhat cheating (just my opinion). When it comes to the point of imitating a fleeing fish, and scenting an imitation fish, wouldn't that almost be the same as using a fish as bait (mulies). Probably far cheaper and easier to be back to fishing mulies also.

For me, half of the fun of fishing artificials is the no smell, and the art of enticing fish trikes without the sent, more so from a visual perspective. But again, all just my opinion and in summary, yes s factor does help and work.

Yeah epic thanks all for the info, I've heard of fellas use it a fair bit for comp bream fishing but wasn't sure if it was worth it offshore.
Yeah Scano I agree that it has a little more "job satisfaction" using non-scented plastics, though it seems it wouldn't hurt having some in the boat...just incase ;o)
