 Yep.  The Pond may well

Yep.  The Pond may well "close- in" this year, if the Rockingham Council don't do something(dredge) soon. The Pond is becoming stagnant.

It's was a crazy decision by the Council to build that Boat Ramp there. They were advised many years ago that this was going to happen.

Jetty needs to go

Thu, 2021-11-04 09:04

Other side of sandbar.( pengo side). Use to take good half hour to row out to sand bank. About the time they removed safety bay jetty is when it hit mainland.. council should let kite guys/girls have area. Like what they did in cockburn ( close to causeway) they formed a club . ( jet skis) They pay a yearly membership and get key to gate. Kiters could use money from membership to build a course in there ramps ect . And council fees x amount a year.

For the kite surfers etc, once it closes i dont think it will be big enough for a good run and will end being dangerous with all the beginners and daredevils.

Good onya Barry Samuels Rockingham ratepayers money well spent!

You dont have to go over the sandbar close in go outwider, why stop mother nature in a situation like this?

Could be the new skeleton bay!! all we need is an 8m swell
