Onslow fishing advice

Gday all
With the current regional border closures I cant head to exmouth and have had a couple of trips planned to go there so I'm thinking of heading to onslow instead as I'm in that region can anyone give me some advice on the area it looks like it's a bit further of a hike to get into deeper water is it worth getting out into the deeper water to chase some reds. Are most of the islands good for a look around for a free dive?

What sort areas and depths do
What sort areas and depths do you normally fish? If you have been to Exy, I would say it’s simular. I haven’t been for a few year, got trout, reds extra fishing usual ground. Some spots are full of sharks.

This will be a family trip
This will be a family trip so prob wont head out to far would like to find some coral trout and I wouldn't mind jumping in for a spear around the islands somewhere looks to be plenty of ground around in the shallower water.

Hey Rod, when I used to go
Hey Rod, when I used to go to the Mackerals years ago, old Bernie the caretaker would take us to a reef system sort of NE of the island. We caught bomber Coral Trout there. Hope you have some luck mate.

Was that Rosily Shoals maybe or not that far? There was a spot called Black Flag that was great for a dive. We mostly fished for pelagics so the usual places for them.

We sure got a lot of fish on our trips there! One trip we caught around 15 different species!

I got Reds and trout around Bessieres Island, hope that helps.
