That Brian Taylor bloke is an absolute prize idiot and one of the worst commentators.  he shouldn't be allowed to call any games involving non victorian teams because he just dosen't know those teams or their players!  Richo and Lingie both had great input about some the stats, and their analysis was very good.  BT is an embarrassment to the others calling the game!  And where was the great men Dennis and Bruce?

After Adelaide in Adelaide

Sat, 2012-09-08 21:35

After Adelaide in Adelaide next week, it will be Hawthorn at the MCG I think.....     Beat anyone, anywhere!!! Here come Fremantle!  22 players ran out onto the MCG tonight, someone please tell me who of those 22 came off a passenger?   I think no-one!  They smashed them in the first quarter and a half.  then they were challenged for the rest of the game by a team everyone has some respect for, and Freo answered the challenge of the current premiers, again and again and again!

Dockers were very lucky IMO....

They blew a 48 pt lead remember!!  If it wasnt for there 1st quarter... they would have been rolled..

In saying that...Zac should be given a medal after shutting down Hawkins like he did... Champion effort!!!

Sun, 2012-09-09 07:41

Lucky!  My arse!  It was their structures at the start of the game that set up that win.  Geelong and Coach Scott had no idea what hit them and it took them almost two quarters to sort it out.  It is a credit to the champion team they are that they made a game of it.  I wasn't comfortable that we had done enough at there was only about 30 seconds to go.  It was significant that at critical points in the game, particularly the last quarter, that Freo answered Geelong's goals and kept their buffer.

At some point in time all you Docker knockers are going to have to deal with the REALITY that Freo are a considerable theat - THIS YEAR.

Brring on the next challenge - Adelaide in Adelaide, and fear no one!

Sun, 2012-09-09 07:43

About time McPhee had a good game as well...cleaned up some good ball...good to see the WA B side take it up to them and roll the Cats....can they put two together in a row...probably not?

Is it Ross Lyons influence or the fact they have dropped the anchor...go the WA A side roll the Kangas....

Two in a row?  where have you

Sun, 2012-09-09 07:57

Two in a row?  where have you been the last half of the season?  Adelaide is the only team that has beaten in about the last 12 weeks.  That's right, you,ve probably got your head stuck in one of those three premiership cups! Ha!   See you in the GF.  We'll do all the hard work and knock out Geelong, Adelaide and Hawtorn.

I am assuming he means two finals wins back to back. Gonna be difficult but Adelaide are certainly doable. Honestly, don't see Freo knocking off Hawthorn at the Prelims if they get there. If they do then I'll barrack for them for the Cup.

You saying 21 passengers on the Pav train are you???  That's good, next time we play your team, you can put 18 players on him and we'll play him at fullback.  The rest of the our team will smash you!  Two weeks ago we had no Pav, this week no Luke Mc...  it doesn't matter anyore.

 Even a one eyed Eagle

Sun, 2012-09-09 09:42

Even a one eyed Eagle supporter, I thought the Dockers were awesome last night.  Great for Pav to get some credit, he is a dead set champion who rarely gets the praise he is due from the East Coast. Balantines closing speed and tackling pressure was awesome, Mcfee was solid down back

I agree the BT is a tool of the highest order.  He is a drama queen when he calls the game, he has such a bias against WA clubs.  Last night he was constantly making comment about the Geelong were coming, here they come etc bla bla bla, which we all new they would being a champion side, but that said, some credit needs to go to Freo for the start and then holding off numerous challenges.

Randall, I passed you on the way back in to the ramp in the Boston Whaler CC and we chatted briefly at the ramp, was a slow day for us, we put it down to the Northerly wind??  We could see fish in the 50s but nothing was interested on bait or jig.  Great run back in though

Cheers.  It was a quiet day, we were out early and it was windy, got a couple squid and as the wind died out we headed out to 40 m, no marks out there but found some pots and had a look around there, other boats joined us.  all we got was a very ugly, scary, spiny thing on bait that my young bloke thought was a lion fish.  needless to say it went back with a 8/0 hook and about 6" of line still in its mouth!  Great day on the water, and a great night watching the footy!  I'm sure that the boys heard me cheering at the MCG!  Pity my neighbours!

Just out of interest did that thing have very large eyes, head and large spiny dorsal fins? Sounds like a gurnard. In any case you did better than I did.

Take the 1st quarter out of

Sun, 2012-09-09 12:19

Take the 1st quarter out of equation, Geelong win 79 - 59. Freo were outplayed for most of the game and Geelong simply didn't turn up until halfway through that 2nd term.

Full credit to Freo though - they held on in that second half and I'm stoked to see Pav get a finals win in Melbourne. Freo were irresistable in the 1st term.

Next week is going to be a tough ask for Freo, but Adelaide are the 'pretenders' in my view and without Talia, Pavlich could have another bag against his name.

From a Eagles fan

Sun, 2012-09-09 12:25

the dorkers played a fantstic game, had my heart in my mouth with the last quarter though.  The commentory was so baised for the Cats its was embarrasing.  Some of the free kicks were shocking, love that free that was given to the Cats in front of their goal and they got one, next minute Pavo gets it back for the dorkers.

Freo should be very proud of their Captain he certainly lead them off the field with so much pride, good effect Freo, just hope the Eagles do as well today..

Good luck Dorkers for the Adelaide match I hope you win.  Would love to see two WA teams in a GF, really stick it up the Mexicans and their baised commentators for our two WA teams, fantastic play from Pavo.

Was it Pavo's 250th game?  or did I hear it wrong during the week.

Heave Ho

Strange, I thought the team that had the most points on the score board at the end of the game, wins the game, there is nothing in the rule book that says what quarter you are supposed to score them in.

Good win Freo. We don't need your approval or support we have stayed loyal this long and finally a good team effort, well coached and well played, by a team that was given no chance against the team that was expected to challenge Hawthorn in the GF.

Again well done FREO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
