National Parks

I don't know if i've got the right forum site but a question has come up that I don't know the answer to so perhaps someone can help me out. Today is the start of the trout season and a lot of the river systems I fish on run through National Parks so is fishing for trout banned in these areas. I keep hearing greenies say that Marine Parks are just like National parks on land but if areas are closed to trout fishing where do I get the maps from that define those closed areas.

You can fish in Yellowstone
You can fish in Yellowstone national park in the states...apparently fishing doesn't lay apocalyptic waste to the natural environment.

No. Just because a river runs
No. Just because a river runs through a NP doesnt mean its a 'sanctuary'. In saying that the only river that is closed to all fishing is the Shannon River(which is within a NP) but that has been specifically set aside as a 'control' to use to compare with other rivers in the SW. Basically if it is specifically stocked with trout you can fish it, except some watercorp dams that may get trout getting into them from upstream.

Listening to Howard Sattler and Karl Langdon.
When I listened to the comments that Tim Nicol made saying that Marine Parks are the same as National Parks on land I thought , no they're not because i Marron and fish in National Parks and the DEC rangers only ever check my catch and my fishing gear but have never mentioned anything about sanctuary zones.
