Madora Bay
Submitted by metroLBfisher on Tue, 2012-06-26 16:29
Heading down to madora bay for the first time, late friday night/sat morning. Was wondering if anyone has had any luck down that way with tailor, mulloway or anything half decent?
Cheers,
Jamie

Hi Jamie
Haven't fished there for a while but I do know that stretch really well. If the beach is clear there is a gutter running up from San Remo and it produces MULLOWAY!!! Best thing about it is that there is a pub there so if all else fails.........

Yeah it looks pretty decent
Yeah it looks pretty decent as far as gutters go, does it produce on a regular basis or on rare occasions? Cheers for the info though Vince and yes if all else fails i will be having a few froths to drown my sorrows.
Need to catch up for a fish again sometime soon mate!

Gutter produces regularly
haven't fished it this time of year for a while but it's there and worth the effort I recon. I have been spooled (unable to stop) a few times down there.
Having this damn hipp operation soon (was supposed to be last Friday) so I will be out of action for a while but will stay tuned here with great anticipation of good reports back.

yeah definately going to give
yeah definately going to give it a good crack i think, any particular part as far as street references go that may be a better option then fluking a gutter at midnight haha?
Shit in that case seems it has some potential read a few articles on the place over time but just never got around to giving it a shot as its a fair drive, but thought i might aswell with a bit of free time and a mate thats keen.
Jeez!, hope all goes well mate how long until your back into the game? i hope i provide some sort of a read for you while you are out of action, but judging by my last 4 fishing expidetions i have nothing to show for it unfortunately..

Street reference
Follow the road in until you get to the pub. Park the car and head for the beach if you can resist the temptation. The gutter is not far out so don't worry about casting a million miles as you may well end up out of it and in ray country.
"it's a fair drive"?? FFS it's classified as Perth metro LOL. Whether it's far away enough from Kwinana is the worry LOL.

Hi buddy,I have recently
Hi buddy,
I have recently moved to Madora Bay and don't usually do a lot of beach fishing but now that I'm in walking distance I'm getting more serious about it. I've been Friday and Sunday night and have only managed a few small tailor and some bigger herring. Heaps of weed around at the moment which is making it hard.
Cheers

haha good advice vince, i may
haha good advice vince, i may have to take another route going past a pub isnt a good idea, but it being at 1 am should make the temptation go away. At this stage i miss catching rays i've been on that much of a dry spell lately its a joke, the cold weather is getting to me.
I mean a fair drive for a fish during the week, when i have work early morning. It's okay on the weekends.
Cheers for the info matty very helpful! have you been trying for mulloway at all if not chuck some live herring out :) If there is weed in the vacinity probably wasting my time in going. Could i ask for a favour? might hit you up for a weed report thursday night, will determine if i head that far south
