LED Bar Flood Light

This got touched on in another thread but Im looking at replacing the Jabsco remote flood light on the boat with an LED bar flood light. Wondering what brand and size to go. Had a quick look at Great Whites and Narva and am wondering if anyone else has anything that really happy with the light output of? Will be mounted on the hard top of a 24ft walkaround and would appreciate any info of brands, lumen output etc others have got.

cheers

 Rigid industries and baja

Wed, 2013-07-17 18:27

Rigid industries and baja seem to be 'the best' but none still have the good spot. Narva and great white both mske a good flood. I have a cheapy ironman on the car snd its brilliant ! Still need a hid spot but. Rigid make a marine grade one.

Spot or flood, all depends on

Wed, 2013-07-17 21:23

Spot or flood, all depends on the reflector angle. Any led will give good spread regardless of the reflector angle. I looked at a 40" USA made (cant remember brand) single row bar with 10w LEDs from ARB for $1800. I have ordered a similar ebay chinese bar with 2 year warranty out of oz for $430. 24 10w LEDs all with 20 deg reflectors, 240w, 20000 lumens! Should make daylight infront of the lux. Heard of good feedback of these particular lights and the supplier so I ordered one, ebay might be worth a look if you dont want to spend mega bucks. There are ones with combo reflectors so spot and flood. Wouldnt garantee and stainless steel on these chinese ones tho and if a light has a waterproof rating of IP68, it means it is submersible

Got it during the week, cant

Sun, 2013-07-28 07:51

Got it during the week, cant fault the finish and quality, sat it in the rain during the week, mounted and wired it up yesterday, no foggin up lol, and although a spot, has plenty of spread/flood in front, perfect for night treckin, would be good on a boat or even to light up a huge area when campin.

I was looking for one for

Wed, 2013-07-17 21:58

I was looking for one for awhile & couldn't believe the difference in prices. Came across an eBay supplier who has a warehouse in Mandurah picked up a 55 cm 42 LED bar for $160 cash!! At that price I wasn't really worried if I hit a roo and busted it. Have had it for about 2 months now & it's awesome, would be interested to see if ones worth 4 x that, would put out 4 x the light. They would have to be bloody bright. Thinking of a smaller one for the cockpit of my boat too.

Yeah can't see why not, I

Yeah can't see why not, I don't think any of the site sponsors would worry. If so I'm sure someone can delete this quickly

Its in Delmont Pl in the adjoining warehouse with OfficeNational. In the industrial area off Gordon Rd. Cash only too. Not sure what the waterproof rating is.

Goodluck.
