Jigging

hi all

just after some advice. Can you use attach eggsnaps directly to jigs or do you need to tie to your leader?

new to this so don't laugh. I'm sure this won't be my last dumb question.

Fuk tien knots every lure change and no dickn round with split ring pliers, quick and easy. Leader to nt no 4 swivel and no 3 snap fitted to swivel, good for pe 2-3, smaller snaps for lighter, heavy jiggin I use bfo (big fuck off) split rings

Tie you leader straight to a good quality swivel (not snap swivel) then run a split ring off the swivel and just change jigs at the split ring. Can keep the same assists and everything then and only change the jig.

you can do it a number of ways , we either tie a uni to the swivel or as Jayce stated , Tie your leader straight to a good quality swivel, then run a split ring off the swivel and just change jigs at the split ring. . This is time effective and just makes life so much easier. Also on the way out we tend to have no jig attached to ensure the rods doesnt get damaged by the jig swinging around.

Cheers

Split Rings

Split rings make it nice and easy - just make sure you use quality split rings. Lost a set of hooks (and fish) that parted at the split rings and my mate lost a good fish at the boat when the split ring failed. They start to open up a bit if you change the jig over a few times.

Leader to swivel to split ring. Easy to change jigs and assists.
