Inshore skippy

G'day all,

Had a ball catching 500 gram to 1.5 kg skippy on 4 pound braid and soft plastics on the first reef out from Mindarie there, there thick once the burleys cranking. Great fun on light gear.

We ventured out deep but got hammered by the wind, the highlight was getting the biggest of them all (1.5kg) on a small 4" power minnow. The fish took me into the reef and around the anchor rope befor I landed it. I puit a fillet down and promptly was busted off by what we thought was a shark.

There are some nice skippy around at the moment and they are a lot of fun on light gear. And I reckon they are not too bad eating.

That would of been some fun hey. A 1.5kg Skippy is a great size mate and at that size they are great eating. Well done Rob.

Cheers lads,
