Cooking prawns

If you like a little bit of chilli... put the prawns in a foil tray either shelled or whole - you will get better flavour if you cook them with the shells on... Crush a clove of garlic, grate a 2cm piece of fresh ginger - put on the prawns. Then pour about a cup of sweet chilli sauce over, and leave it to marinate in the fridge for a while.

Then put the prawns, tray and all on the bbq - cook for a couple of minutes, turn prawns over, give another minute or 2. Enjoy with fresh crusty bread and a nice cold drink of whatever takes your fancy.

This recipe is simple as, but oh so delicious... Can't go wrong. If you like your chili a bit hotter, add a chopped chilli to the mix...

Merry Christmas!

I grabbed a kilo of banana prawns myself last night. (Cooked though).

Most simple way would just boil in salted water or steam them... then chill them in a bowl of ice.

Boiling prawns

It's simple to boil or steam them - they don't take long though. You can tell when they are cooked as you can see a gap between the shell and the flesh. Or if you are boiling them they are done when they float.

To boil - bring your pot of salted water to the boil, put prawns in, bring back to the boil - and wait about 3 minutes (or when they float!)

Enjoy your prawns!
