Hillarys crab fest

Went to Hillarys south wall last night to play with the new Sol.
Not a fish in sight, but heaps of crabs were munching my mulies. Managed to jag one up. Was a white crab the size of a can.
Every time the baits hit the bottom, a crab would be at it.
Are these Ghost crabs, and do folks eat them ???

yeah after our little bash
yeah after our little bash inside the marina, my mate Ty decided to throw his Gulp Shrimp directly behind us on the south wall... he reckons too there were crabs pulling at it... pretty awesome though... if the crabs are in... then wheres the snapper? ;)

is it illegal to trap rock crabs????

yeah you would think some
yeah you would think some big fish would be sucking this bounty of crabs off the bottom.
ive saw 2 huge wobbies cruising the north wall last summer. we could pratically touch them with our hands they were so close and tame. then a week later we saw a guy heaving one into his boot after catching it.
bet he just jagged it when it was cruising past. felt like flicking a star sinker at him full pelt.

yep most of the peolpe that frequent that spot take whatever they can........some of are still sain.
