Herring for dinner
Submitted by fab on Sun, 2008-06-01 14:09
Were any of you blokes at hillarys this morning? Ive just got back, finished filleting. Got a dozen herring.
Was a fair bit of action in the water.
Told the missus that im cooking tonight. Very keen to try out that crumbed recipe that i got from one of you blokes, the one with the Tandanco seasoning. Should keep me in the good books for a while.
Cheers

Looking forward to catching a few when I move to WA.
As herring are related to Aust. salmon do you have to also clean them straight away & remove the black underskin that salmon have? Whats the best way to cook `em?
I`d rather be fishin`!!!

Heaps of them around there.
Heaps of them around there. Actually they're everywhere at the moment. Saw a couple of salmon cruising past when I was up that way too.
