Help on the Pink Snapper

 Hey guys,

First post here! I love my fishing and my spearing and have got into some really good Baldies and some ok Dhu's in perth metro waters out from woodmans point. Although I have 1 problem with my fishing ability. The Infamous pink snapper.

Due to the current weather, water temp and resident noahs I have moved more into line fishing as of lately, especially for snapper in and around the sound. I seem to be doing everything wrong. The souder does show any fish and I was wondering if maybe a few things were to blame. So i am asking for some help or clarifications on this?

1. does boat noise like prop scare off fish in say 10m of water?

2. if there are no fish on sounder do I bother on the spots in the sound or else where?

3. is it the wrong time in the sound and should focus more on the 5 fathom, rock walls or inshore reefs like stragglers ect ect

All i seem to catch are rays, herring and snook. I usually burley up and float squid down

I'm no expert but have been having a bit of luck just outside the sound. Motor noise doesn't seem to worry them, sometimes they will bite first drop.

If you see fish in the area don't need to anchor right on them. Just in the general area then bring them too you with burley.

Keep trying Mate it's a good time of the year and if you can get out on the 5 fathom you should do well there.
