hello
hi guys love the site heaps of useful information and advice
so being new hear i should introduce myself most people call me brenno most of my recreational fishing time has been spent up north in the pilbara but i have worked on commercial fishing boats of the south coast of nz and antarctica when i was younger and also have done a couple of prawn seasons up in the gulf as well currently i normally work offshore and have heaps of marine and boating experience including boat repairs maintenance painting wiring etc i can also get gunnel rubber and perspex relativly cheap so if you need you boat windows replacing or new gunnel rubber hit me up im more han willing to share my knowledge
i have just started fishing in the metro area so any useful advice would be good im slowly replacing most of my tackle as there was nothing smaller than an 8/0 hook in there before lol i use a 6 yr old starlo stick with a corvalus 400 overhead with 80lb braid and have just bought a smaller flick rod with 8lb mono
hoping to get out as often as i can no particular sort that im chasing as i mostly catch and release anyway unless its a decent snapper or mackie
look forward to seeing and meeting some of you guys out and about
cheers brenno

Ok well my first peice of
Ok well my first peice of advice, downsize the braid or upsize the reel. The corvalus 400 is recommended for 20-30lb tops(which is more than enough for most inshore work). Apart from that, welcome!
