Going to Jurien Bay in a few weeks..anyone give me any tips/spots please?

Hi guys, off to Jurien Bay on the 7th Dec for a long weekend, I'll only be land based fishing so Im taking a spinner and my new surf rod, would love some tips/places to go (would prefer to give the surf rod a good bit of usage if I get the chance). Any help greatly appreciated, cheers!

Was there last saturday night, plenty of tailor,herring and snook being caught off the jetty in town not long after sunset. One guy had a couple of good runs on live baits but didnt see him land anything.
