G'Day from a new member

Hi Everyone,

I just signed up today, decided to become legit instead of loitering in the background. Wink

Well I suppose I better tell you a bit about myself. Dont worry i'll keep it short and sweet.

I have been fishing since I was born just about lol, no kidding I have a pic of my dad and myself at 3 with my 1st whiting. Laughing

Have been out of the fishing scene for some years now, but in January this year my partner and I went fishing at Busselton and im afraid we

were bitten by that blasted fishing bug. Even went out and bought a 4WD so we could go beach fishing as we are land based with no access to a boat, (thankgoodness with the price of fuel these days).

We fish mainly in the Northern suburbs marinas and beach with a few trips down to White Hills, have yet to try out Wilbinga yet as im not that experienced at 4WDing, but im getting there.

Well i said I would keep this short and sweet, dont want to bore you all to tears.

cheers,

Shortly

Among other things its Busso jetty that practically made me sell up in Vic & move to Capel in about 6 months time! Yeah caught KG whiting from it before the big black
"tablecloths" swam in due to my tuna oil berley!
Catchya down there one day by the gazebo! ( half way along)

I`d rather be fishin`!!!

Thanks for the warm

Thanks for the warm welcome. Smile

From loitering around the back blocks, I can see you all  seem like a great bunch of fellas of which I look forward to learning more from, especially about landbased pink snapper fishing. (my dream fish)

Rainbow, I know what you mean. now that I have gained some usefull tips

and tricks I cant wait to get back there and have another fish.

Harro, you might regret your offer as I dont know how stable the old stomach is on a boat, I might be feeding more fish then I catch. Do you provide the paper bags or is that BYO? Tongue out

By the way guys, I suppose I better tell you all that im a chick, but hey there is only a few inches difference between us, so no special treatment.Wink (I give as good as I get)

Cheers,

Shortly

Welcome Shortly.  Sounds like you and Jody will get on like a house on fire.  Just don't do as Jody does and outfish the guys that do a nice thing by taking her out and then eating their words at the end of the day when she pulls their pants down in the fish count.. Laughing

Great to have another keen fisho onboard. I fish the marinas north of the river a fair bit, so I might run into you one day.
Don't hesitate to ask any questions - there are some really helpful and knowledgeable people on this site.
All the best, Colin Hay

lol Now Adam, I was always taught to stroke a mans ego in regards to the amount of fish he catches. Unfortunatly I wasnt very good at learning.Tongue out

Rob, we bought a 95 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I have been told they can climb mountains and after my 1st 4wding experience in her, I can well imagine it lol.

Colin, we have been fishing Hilarys recently and have got some fantastic catches of herring, along with a couple of good sized skippy. You certainly get a mixed bag of fish from there though, in the past week we have got a Buff Bream a few blue spotted goat fish and a wrasse of some description.

Just thought I would adda few pics.
