Furuno FCV-582L

I have a Furuno fcv-582L in my boat
I have installed a new transducer
Digitally I can see a depth readout but nothing is showing up on the screen just a blue screen
I am assuming I have some settings wrong for the page not to show sonar stuff and only digital but I have played with everything I could find but nothing has helped.
Does anybody own one of these and are able to help or show me what im doing wrong?

check your settings
check to make sure your depth settings are in the correct range for where your sounding then check your gain settings.

2 for checking your depth
2 for checking your depth range settings, from memory the preset range can be manually set for each setting. For example range 1 maybe set for 0-10m, 2 could be 0-50m depends on how it was set up in the menu. However if you set it in the cruising auto mode from memory the range will auto range and that should elminate range setting as a factor.

yes have tested it in water
yes have tested it in water with no go
have used the auto range setting and thats hasnt helped as well

shift
check the shift is at zero. The reading may be moved to a great depth and nothing displays
