Fuel containers for extended trips

What are people's experiences and preferences with carting ~300-400l of fuel for extended trips?
Interested to hear pros and cons of: lots of plastic Jerry cans, steel 44 or plastic 44. Might be a 1 off and no under floor storage so a bladder isn't really an option.

20ltr cans means you can
20ltr cans means you can distribute the weight evenly where the 200ltr drum is in one spot. Bladders when empty you can store away . Myself, I would go jerries. Most people these days have the cans so you can borrow

Agree with Russ,
Jerry cans are able to be moved easily so you can keep weight even. Also reasonably easy to fill tank from in any conditions unless you have a good fuel transfer pump set up.

Plastic 25 litre jerries,
Plastic 25 litre jerries, keeps the weight down and clatter.

Why not a bladder?
That's a lot of jerries to carry. Bladder can sit on the deck, and if you rig it up right it will self drain into the main tank as you draw down on it. Then fold it down to nothing for the rest of the trip.

But also will be on the deck and hard to move around. Unable to tie into the tank as it's all sealed under the deck. Not too keen on plumbing into the fuel lines.
I have 270l under the floor so another 20 Jerry cans on the deck is easy enough and as people have said can move them around depending on conditions. I don't have trim tabs. Something I wish I did from time to time so being able to move weight around is important. Jerrycans are good to move onto the beach too so can lighten the load while we are there. And keep 120l in reserve for the trip back. Yep. Sold on Jerry cans.

Get a bigger boat!.
I pulled the decks out of my boat and upgraded to 2 x 360 litre tanks ( one of the old tanks was leaking ) At 2 litres per Nm that gives me a 350 Nm range. Either a bladder ( once empty easily stowed ) or jerries are the way to go if you need more juice.
My wife understands why I clean my rods n reels in the shower....

Settling in well. Have bought a house and we're waiting on settlement. This means all of the toys are now in the same town once more. Start work next week ( it's been seven years since I last worked full time, it's going to be a shock to the system) refuelling jets for the RAAF. The monsoon has kicked in and we're getting some pretty sweet storms with lots and lots of rain. Have got a pen for the big girl and she's going in late April early May. It's going to be good to get out and explore some new places. Interesting times coming our way.
