A Fremantle Dockers fan has reportedly broken into West Coast’s football headquarters at Mineral Resources Park, Eagles star Elliot Yeo has revealed.
The midfielder spoke about the encounter on the club’s podcast Coast to Coast, which he claims took place on Wednesday in the hours after the side’s main training session.
“I’ve strolled in a little bit late (to record) but this is actually fact and it has happened, it’s unfolded in front of my eyes,” Yeo told co-hosts Oscar Allen and Steven Bandy.
“There’s a man on Mineral Resources Park, he’s somehow got through the gate, blind (drunk) as anything.
“Freo jumper on, with a stubbie in his hand, rolling around the oval, pretending to shadow kick, take marks, give it to the crowd.”
When asked if he thought the man, who Yeo estimated was in his 40s, was auditioning for a spot on the list, the Eagles star joked: “We’ll take what we can get.”
