Elusive Lobsters

We usually drop our cray pots out the back of the 5 Fathom Bank about now to chase the whites and just wondering if anyone has dived that area as I've heard reports that the crays are few and far between, we go out of Mary Street Lagoon down here in Mandurah, there were 4 pro boats working that area earlier on but wouldn't have thought they would have cleaned all the cockroaches out.

We got 6 whites on Thursday
We got 6 whites on Thursday first pull, then 8 yesterday and donuts this morning. We're on James Service. Earlier start than the last few years.

Hopefully things will improve but there doesn't seem to be as many pots in the water as there usually is by now, maybe others know more than me, guess we've been spoilt over the last few seasons.

Potting on the FFB
Have had my pots on the back edge of the FFB for the last 2 weeks and have only got 1 size red to show for the effort. Very poor season coming up I think as far as whites go, I haven't heard of and consistent good reports from any of my friends who are potting over a large area out from Mandurah trying to find a good productive area.

Finally putting mine out on
Finally putting mine out on Monday straight to the 5 fathom this year. I think it's just too early for mandurah. Fingers crossed for good numbers in another week
