cockburn sound fishing

 hey all, i was woundering if there is any tips for fishing the sound. when my family go fishing we go straight out past rotto and fish in only 40m+. this is going to be my first time fishing by myself and i honestly dont have a clue where to start in the sound, any advise aboug depth, rigs, bait or any well known spots(not your personal spot) but a spot like a wreck

 Blake, if you're launching from Woodies then just head out to Parmelia bank at the end of woodies point. Drift through the weed and patch patches there. Good spot for squid and kg whiting and herring. Try to cast only into the sand patches to keep away from the blowies and wrasse. But sometimes they're unavoidable.
