camping moore river... land based fishin geraldton, where to try?

hey guys might be campin at moore river, is it any good (september) bream etc? Then il be headin up to gero wit ma dad for his car show. Free accomodation mise well try fishin. Any hot spots to let me in on?? Went to S bend last year best beach fishing in yearss, No quad bike to use this time :(

Moore River should be ok at that time
The beach would definately be worth a try there for tailor and mulloway if the weed situation is ok.
Try the rock walls in the harbour, particularly the ones near the crayfish processing plant. I have caught some excellent mulloway and tailor there.
Dongara and the marina is also a good bet for tailor at this time of the year

I dont have a four wheel drive but do you have any beach names if possible that can get to with the XR6 :) ?

mate try up near the light
mate try up near the light house car park where there used to be a groin (most of it has washed away) there fish the southern side they regularly get tailor and mullies there from the beach no 4x4 needed or for a longer walk try the beach where the river meets it, as for bream there are lots of spots in the river to try
ps this is all for Moore river as for gero go to the abhrolis islands if you want to catch fish haha

Yes, you can walk to the beach at Moore River from the caravan
park. At Gero there are plenty of beaches around town where you can just drive up and park your car.
Greenough River mouth, just south of town, is another good spot to try.

The caravan park is probs
The caravan park is probs where i will stay. Mrs just wants to go campin so i put moore river up as the suggestion, try some where new. I have onli just joined this site and its the greatest. Addicted!!! haha thanks to helpful people like you's with plenty of suggestions/info. cheers. marko

Yerr if the river mouth is
Yerr if the river mouth is open, fish on the beach right next to it, apparently the mullas just sit there and feed on the bait coming out of the river
