Busso jetty

G'day,

I'm in busso for the weekend and Just wondering if I could sorce some tips regarding best position on the busso jetty, I plan on setting a heavy rod for bigger things and playing around with the lighter gear whilst I wait. No to sure what to expect...

Another queston is the jetty my best option or are there some beaches or even the marina that are a better option...

Thanks

Rob

hey rob, do a search, theres been plenty of stuff written about the jetty, the marina is pretty good for bream and mulloway and also the rock groins near the marina for mulla's at night, wannerup beach is also good for salmon herring tailor etc, later in the arvo/evening if you have a 4X4, never fished the jetty so cant help you there

Go out to the fenced section(before the under water observatory) for sambos, mullas etc.  Try  light pole 26  for squid,  yellow tail, herring etc.Tonight should be a good one for mullas.

Been a few times to the Jetty and always caught plenty of herring during the day.

My tip would be to take a big handline ie 100-200lb (aswell as whatever else your thinking of) , put a live herring or squid on that with a running sinker... If you hook a big fish on the jetty with a rod its fairly difficult to stop it going under and out the other side..
