Newbie weather question

I was hoping to get some advice on a planned fishing (or drop net crabbing) trip tommorow. We are heading out with my dad tommorow on his boat (28ft bayliner) but i wish to know will it be harder to catch fish when theres a 30% chance of thunderstorms in Perth with "Winds easterly 15 to 25 km/h tending southeast to southwesterly 25 to 35 km/h in the early afternoon then becoming southeasterly 20 to 30 km/h in the late evening." ?

Will swan river fishing be better than the ocean due to the high winds?

note: We hardly ever go fishing and Im not sure where is a good place to go, or whats in season so any tips will be handy.

 Thanks
