FAMILY DAY PART II
Submitted by GOATRUTAR on Mon, 2007-04-16 23:01.
these fish were taken nearly 12 months to the day from when (family day#) was taken. my two brothers came with me and the girls that day and we didn't leave the ramp until about 1.30pm but the result was unreal. shows the same ground holding different fish and some of the whiting were 52-57 cm. one of the foxies was swallowed whole by a horse of a sambo and inturn spat out half way up. i called it for a shark but when i was about to bring it aboard the sambo took another swipe at it and turned and disapeared into the depths. the foxie was in perfect condition apart from having every scale removed from its body. you can actually tell which one it was due to its lack of colour.

top whiting mate.. and a top
top whiting mate.. and a top catch overall... had a similar experience with "something" going a 55cm sergent baker several times in 40m... wondered what the hell was going ( thought whatever it was was swimming back to me fast) on till we saw the last attack..big and a bluey silver colour..around 1.5m long..and damn fast!!! 50+m runs in seconds!!like your fox fish..completely scaled...pretty funny
keep the pics coming !!!

luke,
that day that big prick grabbed me i thought it was a whale.
i was in the comfort zone and all of a sudden all hell broke loose.
the foxy was a big sucker and was amazed to see not a mark on it apart from no scales.
i should have asked it to fillet it as well!
