Experimenting with singles.. or barbless trebles?

Ok what do you guys think about singles for trolling lures? or would barbless trebles be a better option? Considering this for the fish and fishers safety, also i'm a big fan of catch and release so either of these would make it easier.
Would target species make a difference?
Opinions..
Cheers

Singles
I've changed all my slices to singles. The catch rate hasn't decreased too much at all and the fish are so much easier to release I'm spewin that I didn't do it earlier. Would have saved me having to kill a few fish that I would have otherwise let go.
Three days without it and I get a little jumpy

Definately go barbless
Definately go barbless trebles, way less damage to fish and easier to release. Singles are good too but do expect your hookup rate to drop, on the plus side, the hook retention rate is alot better.

Whats better is when your lure turns up on the surface after busting off half an hour later.
On a recent trip the bloke i was fishing with found my lost lure the next day.
Challenge yourself, go barbless.

Without sounding like a smart a*** some will tell you in some cases its better especially with assist material.
Plus using assist material the fish dont get the leverage to shake the hook when they jump or head shake.
Even a barbless single allows release in the water to go faster at say another bigger fish.
Fish that head bash a lure like bream maybe different where they sneak over slowly and smash the lure with their face resulting in an external hook up better with a treble. So it does depend fish to fish.

Those of you which use
Those of you which use barbless trebles, which ones? What are the best? Looked at the Owner ST66's, they look pretty good.
I've heard singles with 2 split rings? Anyone doing this? What would be the best singles to use for trolling minnows etc..? Owner jobu's?
Here's a bit of research, worth a look if anyones interested. The guys at Nomad seem to know their stuff. Some other great videos aswell.
