After getting buzzed by the mystery thing under the rock the other day I had another funny thing happen whilst on the way out fishing yesterday.
I was sitting on about 25 knots when out of no where two whales hit the surface just in front of the boat and lucky for timing the tails didn't come out until we had passed over them!
Lump in shorts stuff as if had been a metre either way it could have been nasty!

The whale would of had atleast two new tattoos of 135 honda props to brag about to his mates at least!lol. Na that happened to us in donsbrough and we actually hit them but only two people fell overboard out of 10 the charter operater shit though!

I saw 4 yesterday, 2 pretty close in as well, mother and calf.
2 big ones breached big time, but they were further away.

same thing
had the same happen last year, were belting out in a mates boat flat stick and up pops this whale vertically, and if we weren't going so fast then could have easily touched him with outstrected arm....needless to say we took his hint and slowed down.
would not have liked the results if we hit him..no more fishing..

Nearly same thing
Coming back from second last trip to islands,cruising at 20-22kn when mate and I both spot a white patch about 3feet under the boat.Bloody great whale breaching not 20ft behind the boat.If we were a second later we would have creamed it for sure.
Going to use that as the reason for the grey hairs starting to appear
