hey broos went fishing today at hillarys today on 15+ knots of wind though i would catch blowies all day but happend to start catching Trumpeter all day long most of them where over 35+cm (measured) though the one in the picture is 20+cm i was usinf like 15lb fireline braid and like 50cm of 3.6 kg of monofiliment with a sinker at the bottom and a size 2 hook with strips of squid on. here are som Pictures have a look and comment PLEASE.

Good stuff mate! Should chuck out some burley and get some herring and gardies down there on the calm days....just by yourself a float , cast out and slowly wind back in...have fun

Those trumpeter put up a pretty good fight for their size. You normally find Tarwhine or Skippy hanging around where the trumpeter are. As WadeTolley said, burley up and maybe throw out a half a mulie and you might get onto a nice skippy or Tarwhine.
