Swan river crabs

Can anybody help me..When is the best time of year to catch crabs in the swan. Can they be caught all year round? New at the whole crabbing thing and any help would be awesome...Cheers guys

Yeah mate they can be it just depends on how you are trying to get them.

In the summer months they can be taken by drop net and by snorkelling at night. (Mainly bluies).

In the other months they can be taken using scuba or drop nets.The crabs that we have seen whilst scuba diving have been in pockets of moorings and in good numbers.Mainly female but biiigggg.

IF IT SMELLS LIKE FISH IT MUST BE GOOD FOR YOU!

cheers for your help...I've got a tinny, but have never chased crabs in the swan before. Is there any time of year where you aren't allowed to catch them, not up to speed with the regs
