long weekend rotto - report
Me and my brother (milsey) decided it was time for a trip to rotto. We hoped the weather would hold up on the week end which did happen. Headed across
Mid-day and wanted to start small so headed to swirl to try our luck on some big Skippy but they wouldn’t really play ball.

Gave up on them and headed across to row reef where we stayed till dusk.
first sambo on a softie

and some red's

We headed in for a night of painful
Hull-slapping
In the morning we decided to try for some kingies around the south side because of the northerly. Again the fish wouldn’t really play ball.
morning

fishing

good bb

so headed in early and had a quick troll.

After catching a few pike we headed to shore for a well earned rest. Next morning headed out a bit deeper. Drove around for a bit trying to find some new ground. After a bit of driving we found a nice little lump.
First drift and first harlie to Milsey

Bit later bb for milsey

I relised I neaded to catch some fish so kg time felaz

And the downside to fishing

Man that is one small overhead LOL. Good variety of fish. You must have caught that cod just after it was born LOL. Great KGs. That water looks excellent.

Almost posted that comment myself, still, when you're fishing, if you are gonna get snagged, that's the way to do it! LOL
