Had a dive with Dalmatanic and Tango & Cash tonight and didn't see any turds!
There was a few of these boys but they are getting deeper!

In for an hour Ollie but swam for a good 5 mins before I was in the right depth and started seeing them.Ended up with 90 which was 2kgs on the dot!Still heaps of crabs!
Lindsay I bought a shark skin hood today and it is spot on!

I use to take 2x 5ltr containers in winter of warm water!! Very nice before the plunge
and very nice when ya get back! Cheaper than a semi dry too

I was doing a similar thing
I was doing a similar thing in soaking my wettie,boots and hood in 25litres of hot water on the way up but bit the bullet and bought a semi dry and its the best investment.No hesitation at all!
I burnt myself one night as I would tip the excess water down the front of my wettie and fryed me slug and cods!
You cant exactly get out of a wettie in a hurry but the boys had a laugh!

It is like a dry suit sort of but you don't connect the Air to it and no where near the cost. Saying this semidry's aren't cheap either.
Like a wetsuit your hands and feet still come out but you have a very good folding seal between them and the suit. They normally have a waterproof zip across the shoulders like a drysuit.
Bloody good for the river and a must for diving down south.

Don't semidry wetties still let it in? only doesn't flow through. So once in and it warms (threw exersion or the golden stuff)thats how ya stay warm?

I haven't heard much about the bouyancy part if it (they do fit rather snugly so not too much air left in there.)

No more weights!

Thanks for the intro guys, I only managed 5 decent sized prawns but don't think that is too bad considering it was my first time and I got a reg free flow at 17m which was a bit challenging.
Reg going in for well overdue service tomorrow so I may have to take you up on the offer of a spare reg on Tuesday Matt.
Cold water?? Not for us Poms, might not even bother with a wettie next time

As for the tempt it is a heap colder in the river up the top than down low.That fresh water sitting on the top is like ice!

Good to see the prawns you caught, I was playing Volleyball with my son and couldn't attend. Last Wednesday, I couldn't believe how many HUGE crabs there were.
May see you next Wednesday at the SECRET location, at the SECRET time, with the SECRET equipment. Lucky our wifes don't read about this!!!!
