Took Goat and my mate Laurie out in some very average conditions. Just 2 mile from Lano in 23m of water, first drop!

Rob is off the money a bit as it was second drop with the first drop producing a pair of little dhuies one about 65 and the other just undersize which went back nicely in 22-23m.Great fishin within 3 mile of shore!
We hopped from spot to spot with one thing in common all day DHUFISH!!!!!
We lost count after 20 and I estimate close to 30 dhufish were caught with all but maybe 6 size.The majority of fish were between 50-55cm.On several occasions triple hook-ups and a couple of double headers.
Not a bad 5 hours fishing and to think the fisheries research guys could only capture on film 40 odd dhuies in 750hours of footage and we actually landed over 65% of that number in 5 hours!And lost a few!
The number of dhuies we have captured in the last 3 months has been staggering with on 6 occasions 20 dhuies or more taken on 1 day.(size and under)But there is no dhuies out there.......apparently!!!!
The Pro's will be rubbing their hands together and the fisheries guys will still have no-idea!
Apart from one foul hooked dhuie all the smaller ones were succsessfully released and the shallow water they were taken from helped their cause.
Other notable captures for the day were A hooter flathead(75-80cm),king george,baldie, pinks and a couple of 25kg+ sambos.

Seems stupid to me that they have placed the ban on such a wide stretch of the coast. Why not just mandurah to hilarys? At least then we could travel to lano or two rocks and have a fish. There is obviously no threat to dhuies up that way!

No bullshit there must have been hundreds down on one of the marks yesterday as it was lit up like a chrissy tree on the sounder and soon as you hit the bottom whack!
We had a problem with muliple fish having to be released because you can only do one at a time without having tangleing issues with lines in the water.

Just give Recfishwest a call Iam sure they could stretch their buget and give you a couple so you can use two or more at a time you guru!!LOL
If you can get the video as well they may give you some credit in relation to the release weights!!
