Swan river.........waiding the shallows!

I have been cruising along the freeway all week for armadale to the city and good the river has been absolutly like glass every day and it would be perfect for targeting flatfish wjile waiding around the banks. Was going to have a late fish today but couldnt be bothered driving back down. I know the weather is shit house tomorrow but if thers a brake in it it would be worth the effort. Very relaxing way of fishing and with tomorrow off iim crossing me fingers for a few hours releif in the weather for some lure tossing.
Sorry but i havent seen a week of flat water there for a while. I might even give brenz 1lb braid a test out.

yeah was going to say its going to be pretty hard to tie the knots and get them to hold, but you will work it out, might end up tying lots of knots when out fishing.

A bit of competion on the
A bit of competion on the river at the moment for ya Spess.
The dolphins and pelicans have been having a good time.
I stopped on the causeway riding home yesterday arvo. Dolphins were in the lee (downstream) of the bridge structure with a fast out going tide. They would dart out and smash the bait fish with pelicans and shags picking up the dregs. A few good sized bream spotted close to shore aswell. Was a great sight.

Where abouts
Where abouts are you going spess? I often drive along the Kwinana past the flats there and wonder what the fishing would be like there. I am keen to give it a go.

The lowere reachers of the swan have had good numbers of big flat fish.When i have been diving over the last couple of weeks. I punched a huge flounder in the head the other night but it slipped out of my hand and lost him.There is heaps of big flathead in the shallows on the drop offs

Hmmm, given that it was a flounder, that would have been with a straight DOWN hook, as oppossed to a left or right I assume LOL
