Danny Green and the "Green Machine"
Submitted by Andy Mac on Tue, 2008-06-17 21:19.
The Couta 685 was no match for the awesome speed of the Abrolhos 8000 with the new Yammy 350 V8 4 stroke. I'm sure Andrew will correct me but the thing goes over 50 knots.
That Green Machine would have to be one of the better looking rigs out there, and functional too.

No Bandanas
Just peaked caps turned backwards. I lost my cap to the drink on the second day. Yep around 50 knots is definately flying!!!!!

Ah yes Andy - Cheers!
Had a closer look, can see the peak now. You'd need a tight cap to stay at 50 knots!
Cap with 'tie-downs' LOL - not a good look!

Boat speeds
The Abrolhos 8000 has been at 51 knots, full of fuel and with 4 guys onboard. I think we had the Abrolhos at 48 knots up at the Islands. All good fun.
Danny's boat did 38 knots with six people onboard on a trip to Garden Island, has a Yammy 200hp 4 stroke.
You wouldn't believe that water is halfway across to the Abrolhos, Heaven on Water.

Andy
What would a rig like that cost roughly?
Beautiful setup and colour.

I think I have seen than boat coming out of Hillarys
I was wondering who owned it. I should have known, but the brain is not always working that well early in the morning at Hillarys.
