Although the weather was S#!T we were just happy to be out fishing ( well trying to fish ). Met a few more members and had abit of a chat. We were out over the 5 Fathom when the first storm came hammering in so we tried giving it a run ( what a joke that was ). I turn around to see a couple of the boys heading straight for it and remember thinking what a mad bunch of bastards. Thanks to the organisers and all involved.
Danny Green putting his new Commodore Couta 685 to the test on the trip over. He is a very nice chap and a keen fisho. Was a pleasure to meet him.
Yes that is the ocean between Gero and Abrohlos.
We had 4 days of very rare "glass off" virtually all day every day we were there!!!!
I think the Commodore guys must have some connections in some very high places. To say we were blessed with top weather is an understatement.
Still, I was sad not to have made it for the comp. Sounds like a "shocking" day (pardon the pun) you guys had out there. Good to know the boats performed and the safe skippering skills showed through.
