Quick 2 hour troll

Hi all went for a quick troll after work yesti just ta sus out what was round , heard of bonito and tuna and maybe some mackies so hit the 30m mark straight out from Hilary's to much weed closer and put out couple seven metre divers and 2 3m and the fun began plague bonito they where hittin the lures as we where re feeding out sounder was showing big schools , so got a few for the smoker. Scored a little blue fin which makes me think to take the down rigger out next time to get the lures down under the schools . Whales everywhere big mumma and calf breaching right near the boat awsom quick fish waters on the rise pushing 20-21 degrees so I rekin where gunna have a wicked summer on the metro pelargics

Bonito are great fun. We got into heaps of watsons leaping bonito in may, but made the mistake of keeping one to eat. Worste fish I have ever had, makes australian salmon look tasty.... I presume they were watsons leaping, and not oriental, the latter are apparent not bad to eat. Catch and release or bait for me.

John i smoked a heap of them and smoked some tuna , they where absolutely spot way better than the tuna didnt taste much different to mackie
