Has one wondering what caused it, nothing running or turned on, no insurance from running ashore but suddenly catches on fire.

It is un serviced/ dodgy

It is un serviced/ dodgy moorings, most of them are engine blocks/concrete tyres etc etc. That has started to change a bit latley !!

Too many people down that way with nothing better to do. Look at that stats. So close to where all the work is happening and still we have these pockets of losers. Shame on their parents I say. Then again, as an estranged father whos boys were brought up down that way what can I say???? God knows what my boys are up to.

registed inspected moorings

Wed, 2012-06-13 22:26

i was led to believe that all the registed moorings were inspected for serviceability and that the unregisted moorings had to be removed, but saying that every year we have a decent blow from the north quite a few boats end up on the beach.we had a mooring down in mangles bay for quite a few years and experianced no trouble with it holding, the trouble came from boats moored out side of us who slipped their moorings and crashed into us on their way to the beach and you are right they used old engine blocks and anything that had a bit of weight about it. she will be alright mate was alive and well back then

I grew up diving around there

Thu, 2012-06-14 19:47

I grew up diving around there and 15 yrs ago most were pretty shabby, have gotten better in the last few years ill have to go have a swim around and see what there like now, Every year there are a few that wash up or smash into other boats and bridges. And honestly rocko has a bad name but i have a beach house very to close to where those boats are and the area really isnt that bad!!
