First speared Mackie

Ever since I had decided to give spearing a solid crack (couple of months) I have been keen to nail a spaniard. shot this bad boy today in around 8m. Its not the biggest mackie but i am definatly stoked to boat my first.

My first was about that size too, don't really want them much bigger as it's just too much meat and they're not the greatest eating IMO.
How's the vis at the moment?

congrats webby! great feeling landing that first one.... ive just put reels onto 2 of my guns and keen to try them tomorrow - fingers crossed the water clarity is abit better and there is a few about
